Julia is a Registered Social Worker, with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Calgary who is authorized by the Alberta College of Social Workers to provide the restricted activity of psychosocial interventions, such as psychotherapy. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified ADHD Clinical Services Provider, and a Certified Mental Health and Nutrition Clinical Specialist.
Julia has a compassionate, warm, and friendly demeanor, and her approach in therapy is holistic, integrative (body-mind), person-centered, strength-based, and empowerment-oriented. She offers personalized, individual therapy for adults, for issues including stress, anxiety, depression, attachment trauma, low self-esteem, body-image, ADHD, OCD, emotion dysregulation, sleep disturbance, grief, loss, narcissistic abuse, and relational difficulties. Julia is trained and well-versed in multiple counselling approaches and modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy,
and Polyvagal Theory for Embodied Trauma among other methodologies.
